The Rothschild’s giraffes are incredibly content, peaceful and gentle creatures who are well cared for in their protected sanctuary.
Ololo Organic Farm Experience
The Kitchen at Ololo has become renowned for offering delicious paddock to plate fresh ingredients and cuisine. The Ololo farm and the lodge has been developed by the Chapman family from Australia, who have extensive farming background. Ololo produces tastiest eggs, chicken and also duck meat. With the covered vegetable garden and mushroom house, the lodge produces approximately 70% of the greens on our guests plates all farmed organically using regenerative principles, with recycling and composting systems in place.

This is a not-for-profit holiday designed to immerse travellers into the lives of the neighbouring local communities by facilitating a number of developments and traditional activities curated by the resident Maasai community. The activities include learning how to throw a warrior’s spear, making decorative jewellery, singing and dancing as done in Maasai traditional ceremonies.
Karen Blixen Museum
Against the backdrop of the Ngong Hills, the Karen Blixen Museum sits in the cosy suburb, telling the tale of Karen Blixen. The Karen Blixen Museum was once the centrepiece of a farm at the foot of the Ngong Hills owned by Danish Author Karen and her Swedish Husband. Located 10 km from the city centre, the museum belongs to a different period in the history of Kenya and later gained international acclaim with the release of the movie ‘Out of Africa’, an Oscar winning film based on Karen’s autobiography by the same title. The museum house is surrounded by a tranquil garden, indigenous forest and a nature trail. The museum is also used frequently for weddings, events and team-building activities. The museum also supports the local art scene with the creation of Karen’s Art Corner.
